Hi Nutcraker,

I used telfords for the first time as deans of Dumfries did not give me the same deal when I ordered my new fl vrs cr tdi estate back in September, my experence has not been great as they messed up the order and the communication is crap as it was always me phoning them and on that they would not always return my calls. I find this kind of behaviour unacceptable but that just my opinon.

On the fact that they messed up my order they did however compensate me only after I said I was giong to walk away from the deal, all I am saying if they don't get there act together I will not be back and there is still issues to resolve and I now have the car they don't seam to want to resolve these issues quickly.

This is just my experence and you may be fine but that's just my one pence worth.

had same trouble with telfords carlisle my octavia went back because climate control was not working correctly kept car 2 days got it back just same whjen engine hot after about 8 miles or so blower would not blow full blast cold car still the same, constantly on the phone for me to buy another car from them service rubish

Start with the good points -

I cannot knock the aftersales/service department. They have been very helpful with any queries I have sent their way.

The guys in the parts department will literally drop everything to try and help you either with things they know about or if you want to try and find a part number from a vague description!!

Regarding sales, hmmm. I ended up buying a car from Liverpool as the lady at Telfords was so difficult to deal with.

Being my local dealer I have found the service department to have improved and they are helpful. Sales is another matter. I once called in and told them I was interested in either an Octy or Superb in the following trim levels. They had a big clearance or trade in weekend which he said would bring in cars that could match my interests and would ring my after the weekend. 4 years on I'm still waiting for them to ring back. And 3 cars I would have been interested were actually traded in.... One of the sales team is a member on here, if they still work there. Called sacha.

Got my VRS from there and the service was good but we did buy the day we looked. Sacha was the sales bloke who sold me the car. Not had it in there for a service yet but will be soon and hope all will be well.
