boot lid wont open

Featured Replies

mine appears to have got itself stuck shut? is there a trick to opening it from the inside, the handle moves freely so its still locked, i'm guessing the central locking solenoid is the most probable cause but i need to get it open first any ideas?

Mine is a 99MY, so don't know if its the same. Mine had the same symptoms. From the inside there should be a small flap under the boot lock. Inside is a bright orange tab, push this to one side(can't remember which way) should open the bootlid. Mine needed a new lock, cost about £40 IIRC.

is there a key lock, I cant remeber and im buggered to go outside in the pi55in down rain atm. :-). If so, is this a mechanical lock, or just a switch to activate the CL solenoid? Try the key :-)

Just a thought

You can pickle it by locking/unlocking whilst holding the handle, which makes it behave as you have described.

If you havn't already try locking and unlocking it,

May be of no use too you :S
