Hi - New Octavia Vrs On Order

Featured Replies

Just a quick note to say hello.

I have been reading this forum for a while and have based my decision to buy a new Black Octavia VRS (delivery end December) after many hours reading through the threads.

I have recently had a few car changes, went through a daft moment of owning a Vauxhall Vectra V6 then deciding the fuel bills were too high and swapped it for a 2.0 DTI...regretting that greatly after my friend bought a Honda Civic Type-R.

So have decided to go the sensible.... ish Octavia vRS Route.

Many people have been laughing that I am buying a Skoda, but I care very little about - although the clutch did break on the car I test drove!, it didn't put me off though.

I am buying the car through Tins, has anybody had any experience of using these - so far they seem very good but I would be interested to know if anybody has had any bad experiance?

Thanks

Welcome to Briskoda. :D I can't recall reading any significant negative feedback about Tins.

I had exactly the same at work, didn't help that a guy had a 2.0GLX octy in the car park, they all thought thats what I was getting....

Now there are two vRS's in the car park!

Dont worry people were laughing at me when i got mine a year and half ago but now after changing a few bits on it, it is now quicker than mates civic type-r, and he now he looks very annoyed while i laugh over taking him!!!!

Oi!!

What's wrong with the 2.0GLX?!! I have one!!!

ok, it's not lightening fast, but if you're being left for dead by anything less than a vRS or other large fast motors, you clearly don't know how to drive....... :P

Assorted max-powered Saxo's, Corsa's, Vectra's (pah!) - breakfast fodder........

remarkably on saturday, i got the better of my mates BMW 520 from a standstill till aroun 30mph......felt bit like the F40 turbo lag comment from Top Gear.........."look, I'm beating an F40 dear"........*whoosh* :D

I might take offense in a minute.......
