Replica Alloy Wheel Centre Caps

Featured Replies

I have RS6 replica wheels on my car, and they came with a set of Audi Centre caps, I have not fitted these and for nearly a year now my octy has had no centre caps fitted and its about time I did something about it.

I have done some digging around but I cannot find anything that will work due to the unusual size needed.

The Audi caps are 55mm across, and as its not a size used by Skoda using oem ones is not an option.

As the audi ones are domed, sticking a sticker over the top proberbly wont work either, so I removed one of the Audi logos, but the cap itself is domed so I cannot even buy them from ebay as the surface needed to stick onto is not flat.

So I am now back to the drawing board and where I have been for some months now, so any ideas on how to tackle this.

I've had the same scenario with the centre caps for my Audi S-line wheels.

My solution was to get some 'standard' vRS ones from MAS's group buy of about 18 months ago (thread now seems to have gone cold though) and stick them to the (slightly) domed Audi caps. Being very careful (details on request) about how I put them on they did stick and have lasted for a year or so with only one looking as it might peel off, which I repaired with super glue. There is of course 1-2mm difference in size but I'm happy with this.

If you want an exact match for size (variety of designs available) then try PastyBoy's current Group Buy as here;- http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/127657-skoda-retroreplacement-badges/ I got an alternate set of caps from him recently and they seem to be suitably flexible to cope with the Audi's domed centre.

An alternative is to get some flat centre caps of the correct size off ebay from this guy;- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/63MM-CENTRE-CAPS-MAY-FIT-VW-AUDI-ROTA-DEZENT-FOX-BORBET_W0QQitemZ280442690325QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_3?hash=item414bafdb15 from who I bought a set successfully for my Team Dynamics wheels recently.

I hope this helps.
