My Y Reg L&K has HID Xenons as dipped beam.I wanted to fit H1s Halford Extreme for main beam, brighter & better colour match but Skoda dealer says "Not advisable, you have plastic "Glass" and these much brighter lights get much hotter than standard H1s and they could damage the plastic. They'd be OK with glass "Glass"." Does this seem likely?

No it doesnt sound right.

Plastic lens' are fine...so are the bulbs.

Skoda will always advise against fitting anything that is non standard.

FIT THEM!!

Halfords Bulbs are UV Cut so perfectly fine with plastic lenses.... Says so on the packet lol
