Extended warranty

Featured Replies

My 2.0 Tdi PD 07 Scout is under warranty until July this year, Im thinking it might be a good idea to extend it when it runs out especially with the Turbo scare stories :wonder:

What if you have turbo problems when out of warranty but have FSH? are you up the creek without a paddle? :(

id guess you might get some kind if contribution from skoda uk but it wouldnt be a cert and would still probably cost you! Do skoda do their own extended warranty? How much/what cover?

24 Months £550

with roadside recovery

12 momths £419

24 months £ 695

a bit steep i think

i dunno, i think the 24 months is fairly reasonable - one fault find and repair could easily be in excess of £500!

I've just purchased a 1 year extended warranty from my local dealer, £300 and that includes RAC too.

Hi ive just bought a 4 year old vrs is it possible to get a warranty from skoda?

I got extended 24 months with RAC etc when I ordered car was under £500 just. The RAC cover EU wide is of a good enough level to make it worth my while. But the extended warranty has changed now Skoda now seem to do it themselves where mine was from Skoda but underwritten by another company but delivered from Skoda and matches existing 3 year warranty. Years 4 and 5 are unlimited mileage though which is good, newer one Skoda has done I think there are still limits.

I wouldn't bother. I had it, had issues but they still charge a diagnostic charge! A lot of stuff isn't even covered by the warranty.

It is like insurance really, if nothing happens to your car no problem but if you had an issue £550 does not sound too bad over two years. Its normaly only wear items that are not covered right?
