engine cover

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if the engine cover has any benefits such as keeping the temperatures down. I'm thinking of either removing mine or getting a carbon fibre one.

I'm not sure if my CAI will suffer because of some heat soak possibly. Any ideas?

Cheers

I dount it very much tbh. It's just plastic trim after all

mine is hanging in the shed. Doesn't seem to make any difference not being on.

took mine off when the LPG was fitted and never got round to putting it back. A real bonus when coilpack blows as its easier to replace :D

Mine's hanging up in my shed too.

Removed it when I replaced the DV hose, and wanted more room. I also didn't like how it funnelled all the salt and crap into the oil filler neck.

Yep mines in the shed after removing it because it was rubbing the Forge DV piping. I have a CAI and no problem with running temps, even before I had a FMIC fitted. Gave me something to clean up and polish too.
