Dumb guys asks: "how do you change the air filter on a MkII Octavia?"

Featured Replies

I've changed filters on volkswagens an even my old (old) audi no trouble...but how do I change the air filter on the Octavia MkII (diesel) without knacking some thing up?

Just undo the screws and gently pry off the top of the airbox. Note which way the filter goes in, swop filter, put lid back on and do up the screws.

Same way as with the other cars. It's in the second plastic box you come to as you follow the air intake line from behind the headlight. I don't think anything needs resetting as a result of changing the filter, though the car performance will thank you for it if the old filter is badly clogged.

Edit: See post above :)
