Skoda Octavia vRS MK1 front seat dimensions

Featured Replies

Welcome :-)

I am looking to replace a driver's seat in my vRS. The frame is worn out and Skoda wants about £400 for a new frame inc fitting. So the whole change makes sense I would like to replace two original front seats but I can not find the dimensions of them? Does anyone know what the dimensions are? Also does anyone upgrade the setas and can recommend a make?

Many thanks

Yaro

just buy a pair of front seats ebay is your friend for £200 if not try scrapyard

you can get the mk4 golf R32 seats in there mate but they are like rocking horse poo.

I have mine that I am lookin to get rid of, have a look in the forsale section mate, I think I posted pics of them too.

I put R32 ones in but they could do with recovering which I would like doing to make them look like the vRS ones with the white centres lol.

Jus let me know if you want them.

What about the dimensions? How can I find out so I can buy the right ones?

Any Seat from an octavia or 3/5 door mk4 golf will fit the mk1 Octavia, you can even fit Bora seats into your octavia too.

I've had Golf GTi 5door/ Golf Recaro's 3door/ Bora GTi seats in my octavia and they all went in with no mods to the seat runners.

As previously said those that do fit are:

Any MKI Octavia

Any MK4 Golf/Bora

Any MKI A3

Those that the subframes look the same, but are too wide so will NOT fit

MKI Superb

B5 & B5.5 Passat

A6

Don't forget the MkI Seat Leon and MkII Toledo should also be the same.

Thank you for your advise

Got a pair of Golf GTi mk4 seats from ebay when my lumbar support collapsed (base was on the way out as well. Think I paid £40 for the pair.

They're dead easy to swap and as long as you don't turn the ignition on when the airbags are disconnected then you won't get any airbag fault warnings (I assume that they still work!)
