I got it!

Featured Replies

I got to pick up my new vrs yesterday. i brought tax free from Germany so i flew into london got the train picked it up and drove it home. We left home at 4 in the morning and got in 1 the following morning. over 400 miles on its first journey, averaged 46mpg which i thought was good for its first 400 miles ever! Very nice to drive and i love the DSG (my first auto)! Took it very steady, especially in germany were the roads were getting a little icey.

I haven't taken any photos and it is now covered in a couple of iches of snow so i wont be using it for a few days at least, which is a shame beacuse i would love to drive it more!!!

I've also turn green, just to say cheers for advice and lots that i have read on here without contributing! Its a great forum!

Grats to the new vehicle. Not the best time to have a new car sitting in the driveway though. emoticon-0106-crying.gif

Better get some winterwheels as the VRS is pretty helpless with its std 18" and here in Germany you still have the law, that demands winterequipment on the car under severe conditions.

Still have to go out but my car is also hidden under a pile of snow emoticon-0101-sadsmile.gif

We have another car with winter wheels so until it stops snowing we will just use that. We had to make it back yesterday as it was the only gap in the weather!

Small gap as it was!

Allthough the blizzard storms as pronounced didnt come (here yet).

Glad you made it in one piece, weather here at the moment is terrible.

If you are not going to use the car for a couple of days, even with the new battery, better put it on a battery conditioner as it will be pretty cold.

got my new race blue octavia vrs 170 CR yesterday , great car

Needs more pics :)
