Fabia 1.9 TDI ATD Tuning

Featured Replies

Just brought myself a 2001 fabia Elegance 1.9 TDI with an ATD engine fitted, I really want to tune it up but dont know where to start, Ive searched and found out best thing is to get some 130 ASZ injectros/turbo, At work i have access to a set of ASZ injectors/Turbo and ECU can i just fit all these and i wont need a remap or will i have to pay revo £350+ vat to sort it out? what else can i do tuning wise? front mount/exhaust? Any suggestions are welcome!

Jay

A remap is the cheapest and easiest way of getting extra power and torque from your engine.

but could i just fit the turbo/injectors/ecu from a 130 MK4 golf instead of a remap? its just the parts i can have for nothing from work

I'm no expert on this topic, but I think that if you replace the injectors and the turbo you would then need a custom remap to get it to run properly. I would imagine that you'd need to change the wiring loom and clocks if you wanted to use the Golfs ECU.

I'm sure someone more technically minded will be along soon and confirm this, or tell you that I'm talking cr@p :giggle:

i can remove immo from the ecu so hope thats not the case, Anyone else?

Fit turbo, injectors & get it mapped = 170bhp odd. :) Forget about trying to use the golf ecu.

any reccomendations on who can do the mapping? ive stealth racing and motech in a close distance from me, would i need anything else from the ASZ? inlet? maf etc?

Might need some of the turbo pipework - the outlet to FMIC and the turbo intake pipe maybe. I believe the pd100 downpipe is fine. Personally with those mods I would use someone like Jabbasport to do it. Someone who has dealt with fairly well modified TDIs in the past. :)

Won't need any other sensors or anything. If you end up pushing serious serious boost in the future, you might need the pd130 map sensor, but the pd100 one should be fine for initial tuning with the pd130 turbo on it.

We ve done a few similar conversions/maps now, you could also try a pd150hybrid and ditch the egr if your looking for serious power, should see an easy and lowish boost 200hp

Ah fair enough, we are currently doing custom maps for £250 emoticon-0102-bigsmile.gif (for a limited period), egr removal is simple enough, pop me an email and i ll run you through it emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Hiya, yes we are a Motech dealer, it would be better to have the car to get a much more accurate map
