Yes I use one, I use Valet Pro Orange Pre Wash, about an inch, topped up with water. Coat the car, then rinse and wash as normal, also use it to apply degreaser to wheels and arches.

If you are still interested in one.... i have one that i have only used twice - i didnt realise at the time that i bought it, that i could get the HD lance for the karcher pressuer washer..

so bought the Gillmore.. used just to test the once.. used it a second time and then bought the HD lance.. and have used that ever since...

still got the orignal box the gillmour came in..

Don't let the amount of people on this thread put you off buying one from either of them or a brand new one, most of us started using one at some stage I am sure, me included.

They are ideal if you don't have access to a pressure washer and here are some images of my old one in action:

agree with baker21... its certainly beats nothing to pre wash your car at all....

i just wasnt aware at the time that i could get the attachment for my already owned press washer...

if you get the mixture right... then it lays a decent amount of foam (not to the extent of foam attachments of PW though )
