As title really, as my intermittent wipers are no longer working and the hazards no longer flash when I lock the car I'm pretty sure this is the cause as both problems seem to have arrived at the same time. I've just got no idea where it is, I've had a good look but still can't see it!

this might sound stupid, bujt do you mean the lever to pop the bonnet??

No mate, it's the electronic switch that creates a circuit telling the ecu the bonnet is closed. Normally it's like a small plunger type switch like you have on the doors that recognize the door is open and in turn puts on the interior light, if that makes any sense!

Open bonnet and look down behind the slam panel, you will see two wires and plug just behind the bonnet lock mech. Switch is at the end of the wires.

I'd guess it's inside the catch.

When my Sons intermitant wipers wouldnt work a post advised him to slam the bonnet shut. It solved the problem.

You can see the press down switch when you open the bonnet, I just got out the trusty WD40 and sprayed the switch and connector with it and it has worked for the last 2 years fine.

If that fails, just get a new switch, I wouldn't think it's that much.

Sometimes the boot sensor can have a fit and the same would apply there too.
