Where should I get my Octavia VRS Serviced?

Featured Replies

Any ideas? :)

I'd say Rainworth since I know they have a good reputation. But if you're car is particulary old or high on the miles perhaps the £50 at the specialist is worth doing.

Volkstek at dronfield near chesterfield, really good VAG specialist, wouldnt recommend Gordon Lambs

I have been using Rainworth Skoda for my VRS since I bought from them, never had a problem with them and always get what feels like a personal service

If still in warranty, then a Skoda dealer....

Covered by Skoda used warranty for another 9 months or so.

It's a 2006 car.

I normally service my cars myself, but the vRS is a bit more complex than my old cars, and I just don't have the time anymore with work...

I am quite protective over my cars too, so I'd rather have someone that takes care than an apprentice with a set of spanners... :)

All well and good DIY until you need a warranty claim. Almost all makes would render warranty void if you DIY during the warranty period.

My warranty 3 years (or 60000 miles)... Actually, it's 2 years with unlimited miles from Skoda and a third year or 60000 miles from the Skoda dealer so for me I effectively have a 2 year warranty...

Did you buy an extended warranty? If so, how much was it?

Depends where you are but I can recommend Volkstek in Dronfield - Indy with lots of ex-main dealer experience and the work won't be done by a 16yr old!

I bought my car 3/4 months ago from a main Skoda dealer - all their approved cars come with a 12 month used car warranty.

I will have a look into Volkstek - it's between them, Sunset and Rainworth Motors at the mo :D.

I've had great service here .....

Dave Bothwell (proprietor) , is ex- Farmers Skoda, always uses OEM parts, is VAT registered (so no warranty probs) and is a genuinely nice guy to deal with.

Fair prices too!

Went with Volks-Tek in the end.

Great price, excellent service. Would definitely recommend them and will be going there again!
