I was curious to see how they worked so I set up the camera on a tripod with a remote.

Now we want a video!!!!! :giggle:

THAT'S what R2D2 is up to now!!

:D

great photie

Great to see them in action! When using mine in the dark I feel that the dipped headlights actually go off.Alarming the first time it happened

Is it just the volume of water that blocks the beams?:wonder:

The headlight washers on the VW Phaeton work one at a time to eliminate this problem, it obviously hasn't filtered down to the Octavia yet :giggle:

Just checked the Phaeton prices, £44k to £75k.

I'd expect a 24 hour free valeting service, never mind a monocular headlight washer.

:giggle: Maybe we'll see it on the MkIII.

I think the Phaeton was also the first VW group car to park it's wipers in alternate positions to increase the life of the blades, at least that one found it's way to the Octavia

...like a plaster's radio!

We'll try and do the video when there is daylight!!

Great photo! :D

I can't imagine washer fluid does the paintwork much good though...
