My Bolero settings are a bit of a mystery ,even after following the earlier advice here and in the various manuals.

The display has started displaying on full dazzling brightness (day and night startups) more frequently. B)It does diminish after a minute or two and even goes to the required low level in darkness.

Previously it started on my chosen level for daylight (a medium brightness) and dimmed suitably when it went dark.

Does anyone else have this, and a solution, or is it a case of taking it to the dealer “when convenient”. In which case, the whole thing would need to become non functional first.

My Bolero brightness seems to adjust itself soon after starting and sometimes would be brighter than I thought I had set it. This was when it was very cold and I put it down to the fact that maybe the unit has a heater which is triggered at very low temperatures to make the screen the visible. This may result in the brightness being brighter than set but once the screen has warmed up properly the heater turns off and the brightness returns to the actual brightness setting. I'm not coming from a point of specialist knowledge, it's just a hunch.

Yeah mine's the same. I do all my driving in the dark at this time of year and have the Bolero set to darkest dark. It always starts up on bright, then dims to my selected level after a minute or so. Probably a "feature".
