ARB's for Octavia 4x4

Featured Replies

I've just had an R32 front ARB fitted along with new wishbone bushes, steering rack bush and new springs. These have made a significant improvement but I'd like to fit a rear ARB. Has anyone got any further with getting a ARB to fit the rear of the 4x4's?

Class it as work in progress! Once Its concluded I willl let you know, All I will say is Im not modifying the car to make the standard one fit.

I look forward to the update!

Has anyone tried the rear ARB from the V6 4 motion? Just wondered if that was shaped any different as the that has a spare wheel. I understand the 4x4 has a rear ARB as standard so the ideal solution must be one of a similar design just thicker.

neuspeed do a 22mm rear anti roll bar which will fit the 4x4. its for the r32 and helps reduce understeer.

Do you know anyone who's fitted one? Just wondered why this will fit but the standard R32 one won't.

Yes, the 4X4 has a 13mm rear stabiliser.

The R32 one only just dosent fit if you get my drift so the idea is to try & tweak the shape of a standard one to make it fit, sounds easy but because of the steel used (its bloody hard) it will take a big machine & someone who knows what they are doing to sort it. Its currently being looked by one of our esteemed tuners who have a 4x4 & hopefully we will have a better idea in a few weeks, its a case of having a car next to the bender so you can tweak it a bit at a time & try it for size. If it works measurements will be taken & then others can be bent

Ive looked at making a be spoke one but cant find a machine that can bend it, The steel cant easily be bend cold on tight radiuses if at all as its likely to crack. The only option we could find was to heat treat the steel to soften it, bend it by hand & then heat treat it to harden it but each treatment was about

Still interested in a rear...... keep us posted guys.

The boot floor is different, the spare wheel well gets in the way, I tried on Stuarts car but its a no go.

If you look at the rear of a 4x4 Octavia it has a regular exhaust silencer on the n/s. All other 4x4 VAG cars tend to have a transverse silencer.
