I just bought a 2005 Octavia Estate 2.0tdi Elegance spec, my question is about the tilting wing mirrors when you select reverse, was this an option or did it come standard on any cars? Also can it be easily fitted to a car without it?

It only works if you have the electric memory drivers seat, the memory module memorises the X-Y position of the mirror so it can tilt it down and then return the mirror to its original position as required. You'll need an L&K to get that.
