Insurance for Fabia vRS special edition

Featured Replies

Its not only AXA, i rang up MoreThan to put the vRS Spec Ed and they said they wouldnt insure me, but when i changed it to a normal vRS they would insure me. It was annoying as i really wanted a Spec Ed but ah well.

Direct Line don't recognise the SE as a separate model, I had to push to have it noted on my policy just in case anything happens and they start to try and fob me off with a 'normal' vRS.

I had a similar problem and had up the insured value to reflect that the SE is fitted as standard with a lot of things that were optional extras on the rest of the vRS cars.

vrs are group 9 i always thought

It was group 9.

GRouping has changed, it's now out of 50, rather than the old 20. I think the Fabia is now group 23 (so roughly the same as before if you scale the numbers up) but would explain the insurance co saying it's group 20 if their system is not updated fully.

My wife was insured on our Fabia with M&S of all people. It's had pretty much every mod possible except a remap and it was just under £200 this year (including me as a second named driver), but [whisper] she does have age on her side[/whisper].
