Skoda UK’s successful Group A Fabia rally car makes a welcome return to competition on Saturday 6th November when it contests the Tempest Clubman Rally. Crewed by the pairing of Auto Express Road Test Editor Oliver Marriage and Test Drive Editor Mike Askew' date=' this will be the car’s final outing of the season and the team are confident of finishing on a high.

The Tempest Clubman Rally is run as part of the South of England Tempest Rally, the final round of the Kwik-Fit Pirelli British Rally Championship. From the start in Aldershot, competitors will face twelve special stages totalling 45 miles through which the rally will be won and lost.

“Working in London, the Tempest Rally is really our ‘home’ event,” said driver Oliver Marriage who is relishing the prospect of getting back behind the wheel of the Fabia once again. “The team has put in a lot of hard work on the car and I really want to show everyone what it is capable of!”

Team Manager Andy Rogers commented, “The Fabia is currently leading the 1400cc category of the British Rally Championship and it’s only fitting that our season concludes on their final event.”

The Group A Fabia, with its 1.4 16v engine producing nearly 130 bhp, is based on the road-going Fabia range that includes the sporty Fabia vRS, and is little sister of the Fabia WRC World Rally Car, currently building its credentials in the FIA World Rally Championship.[/quote']
