33,000 miles on a vRS! A lot of motorway driving? My Contis lasted 14,000 in mixed running.

I was looking at your car type, but I guess that you would have not managed 33,000 on a FL vRS yet?

Have 19k on the clock, about 3mm left, probably have to change them later this year.

Yep, do a lot of motorway ( nearly 23k since last april ) and generally try not to scrabble them too much, wife nearly takes my head off if I do! Back ones have about 4.5mm on them. Changing to a FL MK2 CR vRS in March. Had Michelin Pilots before on a previous car and swear by their wearing characteristics. Not sure they are better than Contis though. Bracing myself for the Dunlop things that are likely to be lurking on the new car. Had enough of my PD DPF, 10 incidents and two replacement sensors in 10 months have taken their toll! Must be my driving style OR is it FAULTY SENSORS? Have had IAM training so I think it helps in avoiding ripping the sht out of the car. On my long term rented works van wanli, hankook and barum!??? ( fitted courtesy of Scotland's biggest car dealer ) have lasted barely 8k each ! Also had Pirellis on a previous van that lasted 3 weeks! Same driving style just cheaper, nastier tyres albeit fitted on a different vehicle. Best going for the best you can afford and justify. I always check the tyre reviews off which? and auto express and base the decision round them. Best of luck whatever you go for.

33,000 miles !!! We dont get that much out of the rears!!

18-20,000 for fronts 25-30,000 for rears I change tyres at 2mm
