Stream vs. Bolero (sound quality-wise)

Featured Replies

Hello.

I'm currently in a process of getting a new Octavia; so I'm breaking my head with all the options and wants and want-nots. So it almost came down to choosing bolero (price approx. 600 EUR) or swing (half the price). Although I am very impressed with touchscreen, cd changer and all the bells and whistles of the non-navi flagship radio, I doubt they will be as interesting in a year or so; or as intuitive to use during the drive as bunch of hardware buttons. BT phone integration is not important and I'll skip the premium 12-speaker dsp-equipped setup as well.

Anyway, can anyone confirm that sound output and quality on these two is identical (wattage appears to be the same, 4x20W). And I do hope these two produce better sound than (non-fl Octavia II) Stream radio. I've had a chance to test the latter. Utter poo of sound.

Please dear fellow forum-goers and apparently experts on all things Skoda, shed some light (or sound) here. Hope this all makes sense, it's a bit late after all :)

TIA.
