My clutch started slipping today so i'm now on the hunt for reccomendations

It's gonna be a helix clutch but i'm gonna convert from DMF to SMF so that i don't have the issue anymore

What SMF do i need for the job?

jabba do one - you cant just use a VR6 one like you can on the 1.8T - you have to go custom!

I bought my whole kit for about £900

Can see this being cheaper just to get rid of the damned thing!

Come on fella, chin up. Things are never as bad as they seem and there is always a light at the end of every tunnel.

I know but things are going from bad to worse for me right now :(

Between this and splitting up with my mrs yesterday i'm on a major downer

When I had my clutch done I was told that my DMF was on the verge of failing - hence the slippage. but the clutch itself still seemed to have a bit of meat left on it & I may have another DMF (not my knackered one!) kicking about that you can have??

I'll have to go upto my parents place tomorrow and try and find it, but your welcome to it if you want??

basicly, Put ur foot down, the rev's go up but the speed doesn't increase much.

I spoke to my work today and they won't replace the clutch under warranty due to it slipping, had it happened 3 months ago they woulda done it as their wasn't as many warranty audits as their is now

I did get told however if the DMF fails then the clutch would get replaced as part of it

I bought it to replace my knackered one - bought from Steven VW auto salavage place for £65. make me an offer!

mines seams to stick at certion revs for a couple of secs then revs higher normaly about 3k only does it every so often i was thinking that was maybe the clutch but maybe not
