Having asked here about slow SD cards and Bolero I thought I'd point people to a post I've put in the Octavia-II section on how to speed up the Bolero reading SD cards. It basically involves playlists and directory structures deeper than Bolero can scan. Have got my Class 2 16Gb card with ~1000 mp3s (~5Gb) working at reasonable speed (ready 12 seconds from insert) and ordered in such a way that you can sensibly navigate music.
