Quick question. Will 19" x 8,5" et42 225-40-19 fit on my 07 VRS TDI? The tiers are Michelin Pilot SPORT.

You would be better of with 225/35/19 tyres

The wheels are used so unfortunately I don’t have the luxury off choosing the tiers

Is ET42 ok? And will the tiers rub?

I know that some members of the german board use 8.5x19 ET48 Audi wheels and they fit without modifications.

My main concern is if the tires will rub because of the enlarged rolling diameter.

Difference in Diameter = 3.59% Between 19†with 35 tire and 19†with 40 tire.

Actual diameter change = 23mm

Too much difference?

IMHO too much. Will make the car sluggish because of the different gearing and the heavier wheels.
