Got a price for a 20,000 mile or 2 nd service as its on fixed service intervals from my two local dealers one quotes £200 the other says £250 ,these two dealers within 20 miles of each other, I expected some difference but this seems a lot, so has anyone had this service carried out recently at your skoda dealer and if so how much did you pay.

Those prices sound good to me.

My VRS is currently due a major service and brake fluid change (2nd variable, but I'm swapping to fixed at the same time).

I was quoted £300 by Gordon Lamb Skoda in Chesterfield, £300 by Rainworth Skoda in Mansfield, £330 by Clock Skoda in Derby, £340 by JBS Auto Designs (independent specialist) and £250 by Sunset VW (independent specialist).

I thought long and hard about where to take it (SWMBO still hasn't forgiven me for going on about it!), but in the end I decided to go with Volkstek at Dronfield (independent specialist) for £250. NOT because they are cheapest (I would've happily paid the top price of £340 if I thought it was worth it) but because they seem to be highly recommended on every VAG forum and no one has a bad word to say about them.

Anyway, I'm not sure about the difference in prices you got - but as you can see the prices I got ranged from £250 to £340!
