Hi I am going to be getting RS4 alloys for my Octavia they are 17" and have 225/45/17 tyres on them can someone tell me if these are the right size tyres to get ??

If it's an ebay package deal I should check what tyres you are actually getting - you might be better buying the bare wheels and getting your own preferred choice of tyre fitted afterwards.

Any reason for going with 17's instead of 18's ?

No reason just what I can afford plus I would like to lower it a little in the future when I can afford it they are not off eBay and have two great tyre brands and two not so great but all with good tread and only £150
