felicia-straight through fr/pipe

Featured Replies

does anyone do a front pipe without the cat for a felicia hatchback (1.9d-1999)?

the one on mine has seen better days (blowing at tail end of cat), i repaired it 18mths ago and it has been through 2 mot`s(last one without even an advisory on the exhaust).

but then in the snow i went over a small "island" in the road and it caught the cat and loosened the repair.

so before i put a load more "gunge" on it i wondered if there is an alternative pipe.

i had it in mind to cut open cat and remove internals and maybe blank off egr as well to give a bit more oomph!

Does the diesel cat really make that much difference?

not really, it's not a cat as such.. it's a particle filter, it will pass the mot without it

and yes it does make a differance, get it cut open and remove the cat from inside, weld it back up and weld up the repair before it falls off and leaves you stranded, you can just remove the vacuum pipe from the egr valve and blank that off as the valve will remain shut then
