I have a Fabia 1 1.4 TDi (modified) which I drive on a daily basis. This is my 3rd Fabia having previously owned a 1.9 SDi and a VRs.

I also have a 130 Rapid Cabriolet which I bought in the summer of 2009. I have spent a little time bringing it up to MOT condition - not much really - a new speedo/handbrake cable and putting the facia back together was about the limit of the work required. Passed it's MOT in Nov 09 and am now looking to restore bodywork and respray. Some debate going on yet about what colour to go for - I am thinking something distinctive where the wife would rather something understated so people would not stare and laugh! I keep telling her it's unique! Will look at updating the carpets/upholstery/roof in the near future as well. Live in Scotland and any recommendations for places to get this work done would be gratefully received.

I'm a firm fan of the mighty Skoda with my 1st car being an Estelle (D324 FSL) back in 1987 (I was 18 at the time) but I have also had another 130 Rapid (MXI 8187) in 1993 - funny the wife wasn't awfully fond of that one either.
