3" milltek turbo back knocking

Featured Replies

my exhaust has started knocking underneath, sometimes it sounds like its from the front under the gearshift lever, other times it sounds like its from the rear bumper.i dont want to cut the bumper and all the hangers are fine.it only happens when the car is cold and at low revs. i wouldnt mind uprating the exhaust hanger bushes but some say it isnt a good move, any ideas?

are you sure its not the heat shield on the cat mine is the pipeowrx 3 inch and was doing the same i just pulled it off cured

Not advisable to remove the heat shield. At least, not permanently. Cold you say? could be the engine foundation. Have the tightness checked.

Might be better to post this in the fabia section :giggle:

What are we talking here Flabia or Octavia ???

why its a waist ayway

If it's an Octy, usual suspects would be the cat heat shield, and the front and mid-section brackets, not the rubber hangers.

hi all its a octavia vrs not a fabia,i dont know how to change the profile since i sold the fabia.thanks for the posts guys..

Go top left, where it will say "signed in as vrsmark" in white on grey. Just to the right of that, there's a control for a drop-down menu. Your profile is one of the items on that menu.
