mobile phone connection to a MFD2

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have just purchased a 2004 Octavia with a MFD2 unit fitted. It has a Tele button on it and I was wondering how to sync/wire my phone to the unit.

Anyone any ideas.

Also the satnav cd was missing is it worth buying a new one / sourcing a second hand one or is it better to stick with my Garmin I already have?

Thank you.

1. The Tele button doesn't do anything.

2. I fitted an oem BT car kit sourced from VRStu. Works very well. Assoon as ignition turned on car detects BT phone (iPhone in my case) and away you go.

3. In many ways I preferred the MFD2 to my old TomTom 720. I have got used to 5 digit postcodes. I much preferred the instructions on the MFD2. Latest map will cost around £115. That's whatI paid for mine over a year ago direct from Teleatlas.

4. Can't comment on maps sourced else where.

I have just upgraded to MFD3. Sooooo much better.
