Good interior cleaning product

Featured Replies

Folks,

As I'm new to this detailing lark can someone recommend a good product for cleaning the interior of my vRS with. I always used to use furniture polish on my old 205! :)

Ta!

For seats (non leather), I use Auto Glym Interior Shampoo, it works well on floor mats/carpets as well, other than that a good vacuum works well (we have a dyson).

Does anyone know of a good glass cleaner that may stop the inside of the windscreen from steaming up? I've used a few things and they seem to steam up quicker than the parts of the screen I didn't clean.

Nice looking car there mate, not seen one in Red as yet on the road..............

If you looking to protect your dash and interior trim then I would recommend 303 Aerospace Protectant and if your looking to clean and protect your leather then I would invest in some Gliptone Leather Cleaner and Conditioner..............

I am currently using Megs Glass Cleaner (bulk) but have never had any issues with the windscreen steaming up? You got any damp inside the car?

I've used AG's Fast Glass and their windscreen polish, even industrial IPA (IsoPropyl Alcohol) to clean it but never with any success. It may be what I use to apply it with, normally kitchen roll or a clean rag. I do notice even when the screen looks clear normally, there is a haze when driving into low sun.

It does look like my rear door carriage is leaking again even though it was fixed by Skoda 3 years ago and there for the windows are steamed up more often in the morning..

Cheers! :) Us red vRS owners are the classy minority :)

Sounds like the 303 is a plan. Do you know of any good retailers price wise or do you buy in bulk?

Enjoying reading ure detailing posts, especially liked the one on the red/pink (corsa was it?) reminded me of my old red 205 that had gone a bit orange, shame I didnt know you could get it back to its original colour with a bit of effort!

I usually source my bits through Elite Car Care but as they don't stock 303 then your next best bet is:

Thanks for the comments on the threads and the Red Corsa is one of those that just adds a new life to the car..........

i use car polish on my windows works a treat

Hi all, here is what I'd recommend:

General Interior/Surfaces: First clean with a medium-weak dilution of Meguiars APC, then dress the plastics with Poorboys Natural Look Dressing (smells like blueberries!)

Glass: AG Glass Polish

Leather: Johnson's Baby wipes (seriously, all leather needs is moisturising to avoid cracking and baby wipes are perfect) or if you want to spend, Glyptone Leather Cleaner & Conditioner

AG vinyl and rubber care. Works well inside and out.

Megs leather conditioner on the seat bolsters and I just hoover the netting fabric.

Dilute soapy water on the Antarctica when needed.

I used to use Armorall wipes but I can't remember which kind.
