Coilover Adjustment

Featured Replies

Has anybody got any tips for adjusting ride height on coilovers.

Fitted a set of AP's yesterday, they looked alright just after it came off the ramp bit I think its looking a little too low now its settled over night.

Thanks

looks about the right height to me.

you will need to jack each side up to get to the adjusters with your c spanner

That looks a good height to me as well. Was going to re adjust mine yesterday but got rained off.

Mine started out perfectly- ish level. Its now all over the place. Could be because im mainly the only person in the car.

Little thread hi jack but would it be an idea/okay for me to swap the suspension left to right to even things up?

Looks to high still get the adjuster cups out the back lol

looking good!

i'd go lower :p

if thats to low you've wasted your time n effort...

Thanks for the replies, I wasn't going to lift it that much maybe 10mm on the front. It doesn't help that I forgot to tighten up the rear undertray screws, they went missing on the way home, so its now dragging over every speed hump & making me more than a bit worried for the sump.

Why? because he wants to still go down all the roads, not have to worry about every pot hole, and wants to be able to get on his drive?! Coilovers arnt just for going as close to the tarmac as possible lol.

Back on topic, mine is a tad lower, and its a pain sometimes, can the garage not adjust them for you? If not its a jack up and wheel off jobbie im afraid. :( Tho id say only the front need raising to make it a bit more even and practical, keep meaning to take the adjuster cups out of mine to even it up a bit.

Dont panic, the under tray is a fair bit lower than the sum, i think its the lower wish bone thats actually the lowest part. Just take it steady over the little "mini" speed bumps that are just in the middle oif the road. I go over with one wheel.
