Cosmetic Bumper Damage vRS

Featured Replies

Hello folks a little advice please? Cosmetic Work

Yesterday morning got back from Asda and put my Fabia into the garage.

Just as I was closing the door I noticed some ‘B’ had scuffed my back bumper.

It totals to about four inches.

Can someone recommend a product that will buff out the scratch?

I was watching you tube sometime ago and seen this vid where this product virtually buffed out and masked the scratch to someone’s bumper. I was impressed

I have had the car now for just over three years. And totally chuffed with it-nippy and comfortable.

Thanks for any advice!

Farecla G3.

Wet the area, and gently rub the area where the damage is, then wash off and look. Repeat if neccessary. One of the best products i have ever used to get rid of scratches.

Farecla G3.

Agree.

Same thing happened to me last week and I think it was one of those hand wash guys in the shopping centre car park moving my car into a space. I normally never let anyone else touch my car and this was a first...and last

The Farecla G3 is great stuff and is not so abrasive that you will do damage. However, my bumper scuff was a mix of surface level scratches and a few that went into the primer. It is great for the former but won't work miracles with the deeper scuffs - that will require paint, careful use P2000 wet&dry paper, G3 then a lighter polish.

It all depends how scratched is the scratch though :(, the fabia bumpers are black plastic underneath and sometimes make it hard to see, if you are through the clear and into the colour then you might make it look a bit better but it wont come out, you will need to build it back up before flatting back.
