Offset for FL octavia wheels?

Featured Replies

hi,

I am planning to change my wheels in my fl octavia to 16", i would like to know if ET45 offset is ok?

i will be using 205/55/ tyres with the 16" wheels,

thanks..

Yes, that should be fine. Your existing wheels should be an ET54 IIRC, so your replacements will sit 9mm further out in the arches. I've seen 45s fitted to an Octy2 before and they were fine. You don't say how wide these 16s are though - I'm presuming a 6 or 6.5J?

The offset is dictated by the wheel width not just the diameter, so can you post that as well.

google "wheel offset calculator" and that will answer your questions. as has been said above, you need both the offset AND the width of the wheel to work this out properly.

According to Skoda the correct offset for 6.5J 16" wheels for an Octy II is ET50, rather weidly the dealers can access a sheet of all sutiable diameters and offsets by chassis number (to prevent you trying to fit 15" alloys over vRS callipers etc. I have a copy at home for my 58 plate pre FL L&K and will scan it in tomorrow

Sorry Guys I cannot get the editor to let me past in a pdf version of the wheel table, anyone out there who can help?

Skoda don't recommend 7J16" wheel option but the calculators all say it should fit!

7x16" ET45 is the same spec like the new superb alloy wheels, i think they should fit the new fl octavia,
