Its a 1.2 54hp

Just spotted your other post saying it's a 1.2.

My thoughts are that you might be using too many revs when it's not necessary (in town etc). Try chaning up slightly earlier as you should get more than 20-25mpg which is what you're quoting. At 30mph you should be able to cruise in 4th gear, but I'd suggest changing down to accelerate.

Does the fuel gague seem to drop very suddenly at a certain point? I wonder if something in the tank is causing a large air pocket, but I'm no mechanic so could be spouting rubbish.

:thumbup: Thanks for that - I do a lot of town driving and sometimes find I'm in 3rd gear when I should be in 4th. It's going back to dealer on Monday for something else so I'll mention it then. Dealer: "You won't have any trouble with this one ....... we won't be seeing you." It's already had to have a new clutch cylinder and the driver door leaked when it rained and the brake servo hisses every time I brake ...... not sure I made the right choice........!
