GET CONNECTED problem where do i stand

Featured Replies

ok folks i have recently been in to get connected to renew my orange mobile contract and had a new phone too, now i have been back to the same shop twice in 1 week to complain about the phone dropping calls and not having a signal,

basically it will happily sit on the side saying it has good signal then you get a load of answerphone messages or missed calls, twice they have altered settings on the handset and now they are saying its the weather :D

when i said that the old phone worked fine in this weather i was told that because they are made differently the weather effects them more (its a samsung s5600) and just generally fobbed off.

i asked if i could cancel my contract then as the phone was not doing what i expected a phone to do only to be told that no i have signed a contract and cant cancel it (it was signed on feb 2nd ). what are my options there is an orange shop across the road from get connected. is my contract with orange or get connected as the paper work just says orange.

advice please they wont even exchange the handset for another the same let alone let me choose a different one

cheers

The phone's not fit for purpose so you are within your rights to demand and receive a new phone, and your deal is with Get Connected so it's up to them to sort this.

Good luck

cheers i have just rang orange and they have given me a fault code to give to get connected so i will go back tomorrow and have another go. dont think she was too impressed when i told her i was off work for 3 weeks and have nothing better to do than pick away untill i do get it fixed

Failing that you can use the 14 day contract cancellation if it's a new contract.

Kick off at Orange, not the store.

If you get no where, as to have your case transfered to the 'executive office'. Do a search for Orange Exec office, and you'll get the number and email. If you're an Orange customer, I guarentee you'll need it at some time or another.

I used it once when a new handset came out, yet upgraders were physically blocked from getting it for a month. Had one delivered next day to my work place, plus some credit on my monthly account.
