feeler thread - for sale 1.4-16v conversion kit for felicia

Featured Replies

alright folks, this is just a feeler at the moment but i would like people to register thier interest....

i'm planning something a little bit different for my pickup now which means i'll have the 16v engine going spare which would be ideal for a conversion into a felicia...

would include the engine, ecu, wiring loom, custom engine mount, flywheel and clutch. but you would re-use your existing gearbox... a competent mechanic could change it all inside one day..

looking for around £250 for the lot, but it's just a feeler at this point

Have you got that other head still?

Would the box from an AEE fit on? What was your pickup originally? Would be interested if its a straight swap :)

hello davey doodle, yes any felicia gearbox will fit, either 1300, 1.6 or diesel, they all share the same transmission casing, but you will need to use the bellhouse adaptor plate from the 1.6 and the 1.6 flywheel and cutch...

my pick was orignally a 1.3 mpi, but it makes not much odds which it is really, there are a few minor wiring differences in them but which aren't connected to the fuel injection system at all, oh and you will need to use the 1.6 radiator too

Mines the 1.6 anyway so i wouldnt need to buy anything else? Although I do need a new clutch  reckon its a valver lump instead of another AEE then!

Still for sale?

  • Author

still?? it's not for sale yet  it's still in there at the moment. been so busy at work i've not had a chance to do any more to this project yet

lol...ok. Well if/when it does come up for sale give me a shout. I've just been given a '98 Felicia from my work mate and it'll be a shame to scrap it as there nothing wrong with it apart from a tired engine. I'm in Afghanistan till the end of October so no rush ;)
