Ok im soooooo sick of this i have an iphone 3gs and a new ocavia Bolero radio , the car is yet to be built and i was going to add the full bluetooth kit from skoda, on here is completly contradictory

DOES THE SKODA KIT WORK, at all with the iphone

It depends on which GSM BT kit your car has/will have

GSM II (ie HFP - handsfree protocol) - Yes

GSM III (ie rSAP - remote sim access protocol) - No

Yep NoWaiting, you're right.

I have the GSM II version, and the iPhone works with that version. The iPhone doesn't support RSAP, so it won't work with that variant.
