Xenon bulb replacement

Featured Replies

Evening all, SWMBO's Vrs has factory fitted xenon's but one bulb has faded quite a lot and is a creamy colour whilst the other is still blue/white. I dont really want to spend £100 on a bulb from the stealers so just wondered if anyone knew of any cheaper alternatives?? Thanks in advance :)

www.powerbulbs.co.uk for me - It's a D2S IIRC.

Yup! D2S And best change both at once this keeps the colour balance the same!

Out of curiousity how old is the car?

A wee bit of searching should secure a pair for under £100. Try and get either Philips or Osram capsules.

These will be OEM qualityemoticon-0148-yes.gif

Its on a 04 plate but has done 95k so i suppose thats not to bad really.

Yeh definatly go for Phillips or Osram new ones, try to not buy the cheapy ebay copies, they don't stay bright for very long (although they are cheap), they seem to loose power pretty quickly.

How easy are these to fit? I've seen how little room there is between each headlight and this has put me off somewhat...

Should take about 20mins a side if you take your time! Just remember you MUST disconnect your ballastsemoticon-0148-yes.gif
