Sky Insurance on tell 0208 3645500, we specialise in modified cars.

Yeah when you can actually get through and not be on hold for ages !

I went with Adrian flux in the end purely because I couldn't get through to you !!!!

lols, think yourself lucky, I pay £1500. Having said that I am only 19 with 2years NCB...no points, no crashes...

**** me! I thought I had it bad. I was 19 when I got my vRS with 1yr NCB and a crash against me and I got it for £1300 FC

I just bunged a quote through meerkats and the cheapest quote that came back was around £270 based on myself and my wife with 9 years NCD. I'm 28, SWMBO's 27. That's on a stanadard 2006 vRS though so real life would be a bit more expensive. Think I'm paying around £400 with the mods through Chris Knott.

When I ran the quotes when I passed my test (mid 20's), they came back £750-£3,000 for a standard 1.9TDi, fully comp - the cheapest "decent" policy was well into 4 figures ...

It was much the same amount (or more!) for a 1.2 Corsa, Fabia, etc, too ...

38 year old female, 8 years protected no claims, Fully comprehensive, SDP& commuting 8500miles. Good postcode area.

'06 Fabia vRS with all mods declared = JabbaSport stage 1 remap & PD160 intake

£290 via Adrian Flux  :

£340 quote from Sky Insurance

I have used both insurers in the past. I have been very happy with Sky Insurance, and club liason Ollie is very helpful, but at the end of teh day we went with the lower premium.

I don't understand how you guys can pay such a cheap price for insurance... and then moan about it!!! Haha!

I'm 30, been driving 10 years, 7 years NCB, no convictions, clean licence, advanced driver, police pursuit trained, just under £600 renewal this year for my vRS. Insurance prices in this area are just stupid, but you can't have a nice car in this area without the worry that some little scrote might kick your back door in and threaten you for the keys.

Im 23 when my insurance year ends in april i will have 6 years no claims no points my quote is 320 for the year for a standerd fabia vrs 130bhp.

with regards to rating factors on insurance (i work in cust service for d.l churhill tesco etc) there are many and infact its both parts of the postcode the first and last that effect the policy, also its not just the crime rates, if you live in a nice expensive area... the more expensive cars usually are therefore more expensive claims = higher premium!
