Will play on the MFD3 if you download films from the net and burn them onto CDs and how do you do it please not very good with comps

The only video format played by the MFD3 is conventional DVD, so you will need to use a third party application like nero showtime to convert the downloaded video file, be that divx or wmv to a standard dvd.
