Here you go Baker, just for you.

I'm not entirely certain I prefer them. The orange IDs contrasted well with the colour of my car (not shown well in the pic) but these may grow on me and they're on now and I'll run with them for a while. Certainly don't look bad.

Now, if there's anything else I should change to make my posts more acceptable, just say the word and I'll get on it tout de suite for you buddy.

Nothing wrong with oldschool. B) Think I've finally finished farting around with the looks of the car now. It's never going to be a looker but it's better than when I got it. Other than a few repairs and a remap later this year I'm about done. Until someone no doubt mentions privacy glass of course. Anything else will cost serious money, all for a car that's the size of Surrey, handles like a bar of wet soap and sounds like a Series III Land Rover.

Snapped this today just after I filled up the power steering reservoir, so I guess this is how she stands for now.

Agreed. I think the Superb is a handsome looking car.

Looking very tidy! Those bulbs certainly came quick :)

Thanks for the positive comments chaps.

Yeah they showed today and being I was working from home today I fitted them at lunchtime. The bulbs are a bugger to get to without removing headlights but with some "Houdini arms" it's do-able in 5 mins ... of course afterwards I was bleeding slightly but every artist must suffer for their work I'm told.

Having put the big hoops back on the Superb on Sunday, while cleaning all the wheel arches, I noticed that there seems to be an access panel in the wheel arch, possibly for bulb access..............

Ahaaaaaa I see...... and you couldn't have told me this yesterday because? :p

Just kidding, I had seen it before and figured it could have been for that, but with my wheels (and no doubt yours) there's no way I'd have room to access the bulbs without at least lifting the car. Even tried today with the wheels turned full lock as below and couldn't get to it.

I just pulled the skirt from around the power steering reservoir to gain access to the passenger bulbs, and removed the turbo air intake ducting for the drivers side. Easy enough.

Incidentally, under the plastic skirt around my power steering reservoir there's an empty chamber, as if something is supposed to go there on another model. Any ideas what it is/was?

Odd you should mention that, it was the colour that sold me on it, the same colour as Blackevo's, the guy with the 20'' Bentleys. When I first saw a shot of yours, it was the colour that I liked most. Looks well you know. We should stick them in a field, let them mate and see what happens.

Apologies for hijacking this thread. Yes I did kinda try DRLs. No I shan't be fitting them. :D
