Retrofittings done. "Pic"

Featured Replies

Hi just bought a MFD system and installed it into my Skoda Fabia 1.2 -2004. The navigation is very good but the MFD is little hard to work whit. Pretty bad meny system.

And installing it was no bigger problem. The gala signal was already in place so no need of cutting wiries from instrument cluster. Just simply put a cabel from the ISO to right pin into MFD (Pin5, and Pin8 on the big 26pin-connector)

I also retro the Defa CAN Alarm -G. Very very easy installation. The Can bus alarm was pretty much 5cabels Can H, Can L, Power, ground and Central locking cable. Now the remote open/close doors works and also works whit Open/Closing Windows via remote controle.

The CC was little more hard sence it needed a wire from the ECU into kupe but I did find a hole (drilled a hole I mean) at last to put that cable.

Now I dont know what more to do whit this car. Maybe some tips on some cool retrofittings (I am thinking about puddle lights and warning light at the door but need some more info on that).

loving the new head unit

Interesting stuff! :thumbup:

That kind of electrical work gives me nightmares though :o

Fitting all the gadge is impressive enough, but moving the steering wheel to the wrong side, now that is good :giggle:

Haha =)

Nightmare noo its very easy stuff to do (even changing side on steering ;) ) , I have done serval of retros in both audi, vw and skoda. Yes MFD is nice It makes the car little more personal and fun to drive, hey it is a 1.2 engine got to have something to play whit along the road.

That HU looks VERY nice B)

Good work :thumbup:

Lovely Jubbly! Super work

Like that HU a lot... :thumbup:

Yes it is very nice the HU, and working very good I must say. Matchs very good on the green light interior and the skoda startup pic.

But I do like Colombus much better but the fabia is to old for fitting that one. I really miss the function to watch dvd in car. I will do a proper DIY on this one as soon as I get the cd changer if someone is interested.
