Standard/Options in other countries

Featured Replies

Hi Tom,

the Germans have a good line up and options not available here;

Rear side airbags 280,00 € (Yeti, Active, Ambition & Experience)

Front seat ISOFIX 40,00 € (Yeti, Active, Ambition & Experience)

Diesel Pre heater 855,00 € (Ambition & Experience only)

Ski bag 110,00 € (Active, Ambition & Experience only)

Inlays in wood look € 50.00 (Experience only)

Front ashtray and lighter (smokers package) € 10.00 (Active, Ambition & Experience only)

Front and rear ashtray (from rear inkl.1 Ambition, 5l bottle holder) 25,00 € (Active, Ambition & Experience only)

Luggage net partition 145,00 € (Ambition & Experience only)

Corrida Red 195,00 € (Yes it's not free over there)

Middle rear seat head rest, cup holders and centre armrests and glasses compartment on the head liner € 50.00 (Active only)

Mirrors with boarding spots, auto dip mirror, Auto wipers with rain sensor and glasses compartment on the head liner 290,00 € (Ambition only)

They also have a wider choice of interior combinations at extra cost and alloy wheel too. ESP is also standard across the range although there are a number of things that we have as standard are on the options list.

In many ways though I think I would have quite happily settled for a German spec Ambition, which would have saved about a £1000 on the UK list price.

I've been looking at the Irish website and I'm amazed by the differences between what is available in what must be Skoda's two main RHD markets. The Irish seem to get the same trim levels as the rest of Europe. They are able to order some options that we aren't, such as the electric driver's seat.

They also seem to be able to order their Yetis in the full colour range, unlike us. I had assumed that our restricted range of colours was because we're a small market and most of Europe is LHD.

Ireland gets the same accessories brochure as mainland Europe. Seems to have some slightly odd translations in it.

If I was ordering a new Yeti I'd look at the possibility of bringing one in from Ireland. Seems simpler than The Plumber's German idea as Ireland is nearer, they drive on the same side of the road as us and they speak the same language. Don't know what it would cost though. Irish price list only shows prices for 1.2TSI and 2.0TDI 110bhp. Published on 08/12/2009 it adds "Prices for alternative engines and transmissions will be added at a later date."

Hi,

not suggesting purchasing a German spec, more speculating that if SUK had followed a more European spec such as the German one then a) I would still have been happy with it and B) would have made the list price about a £1000 cheaper.

The SE has the following over and above the Ambition;

Duel zone climate (jumbo box still fitted with standard Climactic A/C)

Alarm system

Sunset glass

Rear electric windows

17" alloys

Headlight washers

Radio controls on the steering

BOLERO radio.

But the other way round the Ambition does have;

ESP

Corner fog

Heated washer jets

What units are the Irish speedometers calibrated in these days mph or kph ?

Kph these days I'm afraid.

I wonder if the differences in specification are more to do with Irish prices in Euros, which would have to be comparible with the rest of the Euro-zone spec for spec rather than UK where sterling pricing means that specification levels are changed so that dirct comparisons are impossible and can include an extra margin for the volatile nature of sterling/Euro exchange rates.

The Irish Yeti is cheaper to bring in than a UK Yeti plus you can get the mph clocks when you order the car in ireland....

In Cyprus where it is also right hand side, is km on the clock, but comparing uk prices with cyprus prices i would say here are slightly cheaper.

Great differences comparing UK / Irish and Italian configuration too.

Here in Italy Xeno are standard on the Experience Models

but sunroof is optional.

Experience come with spitberg wheel (225/50/17) Annapurna are optionals

experience has as standad NO blutooth features and parking sensors

Experience TDI CR 4x4 140 hp DPF included taxes costs 29.330 €

metallic paint 520 €

different markets different price and standards.

Ciao
