How to remove aerial

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I'm noticed after I took my car through the car wash today that the aerial was damaged (I'm guessing from the car wash) it's got a rather large bend in it.

I tried to take it off but it won't come off.

Any ideas on how I can get it off to replace it?

Regards

Unscrew it as far as you can and give it a good tug, it will come off..Hope that helps

It has an anti-theft barb on the screw thread, doesn't seem to work though, on good tug and it's off.

I shall try that tomorrow and get a new one.

Who knows it might also solve a problem I'm having with my cd player

My anti-theft barb definitely works. Haven't ever managed to get the aerial off! Once the roof starts flexing a lot I screw it back up and leave it alone!

You have to dance anti clockwise three times singing Chumbawunga.

Yeah I had the same trouble with mine yesterday and I'm not boasting but I did use a fair amount of force no average pop out aerial could endure ;) Left it alone in the end.
