Featured Replies

I've just got my new 500gb hdd installed and now running on my ps3 :)

what should have been a simple 5 min job has lasted ages

1. back up the data on a fat32 disk - errr my 320gb external is ntfs - more hassle to convert

2 hdd not recognised

3 now downloading the software from sony

4 now finally seeing my hdd and installing the software

5 set up wireless

6 reinstall backup data

it works now i can install bioshock no not No2 but No1 as i ran out of space on the 40 gig drive :D

i 500gb'd my PS3 last year, barely used any of it, but its always nice to have the space

it looks like more and more games are going to require more space than before so 500gb should do very nicely

Once I've finally got around to replacing the lens in mine, I'll be sticking a 500gb in it.

Need to replace the lens first though. And then get some games....

ah, yes, the Bluray laser, at least its not YLOD

the english sellers on Ebay have got fresh stocks in of the lasers, so prices have gone back down

on a PS3 its a piece of P155 with the right screwdrivers, on laptops, not too sure, but i suppose it should be easy to get the whole drive out, then you can access the laser

Depends on the laptop make/model. Start a new thread about it you like, and we'll try to advise :)
