Fitting changer

Featured Replies

Hi . Got a fabia with a symphony head unit, but want an Aux socket to add my iPod . Can I buy a second hand skoda cd changer go do this? Don't really want to use my radio tuned I pod thing anymore.

If the changer thing would be an option , are they easy to fit . And do they go under the pass seat?

Thanks for any advice

On the Octavia, the changer goes in the cubby hole on the left hand side of the boot, behind the drop down panel, though in a furby it may fit under the seat. I know my octy has a storage box under there.

Not having fitted one i wouldn't know how easy it is, however i'm assuming if you were to get a 2nd hand changer, and the appropriate leads, prob available from dealer, you should be able to run the cables under the carpet.

Then it should be a case of plugging it into the stereo.

Having said all that, i don't know if the symphony will connect to a changer. Someone more knowledgeable than i, will hopefully be able to help on that one.
