Which handsfree kit?

Featured Replies

I take delivery of my new company car on Tuesday (T3 Toyota Prius) and I will need a handsfree kit fitted for work. I spend about 4hrs a day in the car and as such, a handsfree kit is vital. The aftermarket kit that Toyota fit is £275 +vat, but I don't want to pay that much. I've been quoted £165 +vat for a Parrot ck3100 fitted including the adapter lead. I was wondering what the Briskodians would say is the best kit? I'm looking at the Parrot ck3100 & ck3200 or the Bury 9060. I'm also tempted to fit myself and save £55 but not sure how easy it is to remove the Prius stereo.

CK3200 if you are tight, Mk9200 if you want the best.

The 9200 can be had fitted for about £250 all in. At your home. At your work place. Simples.

The mki9200 would be nice but a bit OTT for my needs. I do have an Iphone, but I don't really listen to much music and I'm usually quite happy listening to Radio 1 (now that Jo Whiley has gone!!) My needs are only that the handsfree works with both my own Iphone and the works Nokia 3109c, the stereo is muted for incoming and outgoing calls and that the audio is played through the cars speakers. I also want the display that tells me who is calling, but not fussed if it's full screen colour.

Gone for the MKI9200 in the end. £275 fitted including the adapter is more than I wanted to pay, but I will be saving £200 a month with the Prius anyway. Getting it fitted on Tuesday when the car arrives

And so the ridiculing begins!!! As you can see from my Sig, I have a bike for the thrill of speed and a Landrover for off road enjoyment. My current Company Car costs me £186 a month in tax and I lose £10 a month in my own money fueling it. With the Prius I will save £120 tax and make £80 in fuel. Overall saving of £200.. Purely a cost saving exercise, but the 2010 Prius is actually a nice car to drive :o

You wont regret it. Bit pricey but it's a good kit. The voice dialling is great. Just make sure they upgrade the firware to the latest version before they finish with it.

I've got the Parrot 3200 in the van, everyone says it sounds miles better than my previous factory Leon kit and my current Mazda kit.

Quality stuff.

Well, apart from the install. When I receive a call on it the speedo drops down to 0 and the miles stop counting! Usefull if you are on a restricted miles lease :)
