CR or PD?

Featured Replies

Hi all - I have put down a deposit on a Dec 2008 registered VRS estate. It is advertised by the dealer as a CR - but I'm struggling to find when that engine was introduced to the VRS - can somebody reassure me mine has this engine - or should I ask for my deposit back??!!

Check the label inside the service schedule booklet - mine says CRDPF in it, and engine code CEGA

If it's different walk away

The sticker you're looking for

Also on a sticker by the spare wheel well under the carpet in the boot. The CRs came in around July 2008, so this should be a CR. You can also tell by the engine cover - the CR has four diagonal ridges.

Cheers guys - will look on Sunday before I hand over the money!

Not sure but I think the red line is different on the rev counter

On a CR its 5000rpm and I think on a PD its 4500rpm

Not on a pre-facelift
